Mike is a founder of Dominion National and has overall responsibility for the company. He has nearly 30 years of experience in dental benefits and had served in various executive positions with MIDA Dental Plans, a successful DHMO in the Mid-Atlantic region, prior to establishing Dominion. Under Mike's leadership, Dominion has grown to serve over 900,000 members, offer access to over 300,000 national dentist listings and employ a staff of over 200. Dominion’s expansion offering benefits to commercial groups, individuals and health plans resulted in the company’s 2016 re-brand to Dominion National.
Michael Brashears, Vice President, Sales
Michael has nearly 10 years of experience in the benefits industry. Prior to joining Dominion, he served as a broker manager with Kelly & Associates Insurance Group. Michael is past president of the Baltimore Association of Health Underwriters. He is responsible for leading Dominion’s commercial group sales efforts to drive membership and revenue growth.
Dee Dee Brooks, Vice President, Accounting
Dee Dee is a CPA and a CIA with over 20 years of accounting experience in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining Dominion, Dee Dee was a Supervising Senior with Grant Thornton LLP and a Senior Consultant with the internal audit group of KPMG LLP. Most recently Dee Dee served as Controller for a government contractor and worked for several years with a donor management services (for nonprofits) company. She currently oversees the company’s accounting activities.
Tangela Gilchrist, Director, Human Resources
Tangela has over 19 years of human resources experience in the healthcare industry. Before joining Dominion, she served in a leadership role with Children’s Health System. Tangela oversees all aspects of human resources including employee recruitment, benefits, policies, training, leadership development and facilities.
Mark Haraway, Vice President, Client Services and Strategic Accounts
Mark has been in the dental benefits industry for more than 26 years. He has had direct oversight of sales, service and provider relations as well as extensive roles in marketing and product development across a range of delivery systems (DHMO, PPO, traditional) and financing arrangements. He also oversaw government dental programs for state government and health plan clients in the Medicaid and Medicare segment. In his role at Dominion, Mark has responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the customer experience for Dominion clients.
Dave Orlando, Vice President, Operations
Dave has over 30 years of experience, including 20 years as Corporate Vice President of Operations at MVP Health Care, a New York-based health plan, and two-and-a-half years as Chief Operating Officer of Network Health, a Wisconsin-based health plan. He oversees Dominion’s member services, provider relations, information services and technology, project management, claims, credentialing, reporting and quality assurance.
Jay Rausch, Vice President, Business Development
Jay has over 28 years of managed care dental and health experience. He has previously served as Vice President, Strategic Alliances for Superior Vision, Vice President of Business Development for Dental Benefit Providers (DBP), a United Health Group Company, and as Vice President and Dental Product Manager for GE Financial Assurance, a division of GE Capital. He is responsible for leading Dominion’s current and new strategic alliance partnerships.
Jeff Schwab, Vice President, Marketing
Jeff has over 17 years of experience in marketing, public relations and corporate communications. He is responsible for leading Dominion’s marketing, public relations and advertising efforts, as well as overseeing the company’s proposals, new product launches and individual product lines both on and off the exchanges. Jeff also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Dental Plans (NADP) to support NADP's mission to promote and advance the dental benefits industry to improve consumer access to affordable, quality dental care.
Wayne Silverman, D.D.S, Dental Director
Dr. Silverman has more than 30 years of consulting, teaching and private practice experience. He helps design and review Dominion’s plans, policies and administrative procedures. He is also an associate professor of restorative dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
Andy Tate, Associate Vice President, Operations
Andy has over 15 years of operations leadership experience in multiple industries. Before joining Dominion, Andy served in various leadership roles with Capital One and American Express. Andy is directly responsible for claims, plan and network administration, credentialing and quality improvement.
Brad Terry, Director, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance
Brad has over 20 years of legal experience in the healthcare industry. Before joining Dominion, he served as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Aetna and a top-15 international law firm. He oversees all aspects of Dominion’s legal, regulatory and compliance affairs.
