Arlington, Va. – Dominion National, a leading dental insurer and administrator of dental and vision benefits headquartered in Arlington, Va., will present at the 2021 Group Underwriters Association of America (GUAA) Annual Virtual Conference on May 25 to discuss the market advantages of including dental benefits in Medicare Advantage programs.
“Among those with dental insurance through Medicare Advantage, 72% said dental coverage was a factor in choosing their plan,” said Dominion National President Mike Davis. “About 3 in 5 Medicare Advantage plans offer dental coverage, with more plans now offering comprehensive dental benefits. The demand for dental coverage among seniors continues to grow and including dental benefits in a Medicare Advantage program will continue to help differentiate a health plan’s offering.”
At the GUAA conference, Davis and Dominion Vice President of Marketing Jeff Schwab will detail how dental benefits in a Medicare Advantage program can help reduce cost of care, increase retention and boost enrollment. They also will discuss Medicare trends in dental benefits, including plan design strategies and the emergence of teledentistry to help increase access to dental care.
